Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris Windows PC Save Files

Updated:1/24/20()

IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ BEFORE DOWNLOADING ANY FILES: Tombraiders.net is not responsible for any problems that may occur due to downloading these files or following advice given here. All of my files are guaranteed to be safe and malware-free. Still, I recommend taking the same precautions you would with any file you download from the Internet, including scanning the file with an anti-virus/spyware program, backing up your existing files and, if you're unfamiliar with the process, carefully following the installation instructions step by step.

This collection is still under construction, but I'm posting it at the request of several players. I do not yet have many mid-level saves or end-of-level saves with all of the challenges complete. In my playthroughs for the walkthrough, I completed all but the time challenges for most levels. Then I went back and finished the remaining time challenges before the final battle with Set. After that, I finished the time challenge for the first level (Pyramid of Osiris). I still don't have all the collectibles unlocked.

Note that loading my files will not unlock any earlier achievements. Achievements only register as you complete them in-game.

How to Download and Install Temple of Osiris Save Files:

  1. Disable Steam Cloud synchronization by following the steps below:
    1. Open your Steam Library.
    2. Locate Temple of Osiris in your list of games and click the gear icon below and to the right of the game banner. Then select 'Properties'. (screenshot)
    3. Click the Updates tab.
    4. Un-check the option to 'Enable Steam Cloud synchronization.
    This prevents the game from restoring your last save from the Steam cloud server. You can enable it again later if you like, once you've played through to another checkpoint.

  2. Use the links above to download the save file(s) you want. You can only install one save at a time, but you can keep the others in a separate folder if you like.

  3. Open the following folders on your PC (each folder is inside the previous one): Computer > Windows (C:) > Program Files (x86) > Steam > userdata > XXXXXXXX > 289690 > remote.

    The exact file path may differ slightly from what is shown here, depending on where you have installed the game on your hard drive. The X's are an 8- or 9-digit number representing your Steam user profile. Inside that folder you'll find the '35130' folder for the Temple of Osiris game. Inside that is the 'remote' folder, and inside the 'remote' folder, you should find your existing profile and autosave: 'profile.dat' and 'save1.dat'.

  4. VERY IMPORTANT: Copy your existing 'profile.dat' and 'save1.dat' into a new folder. Then if something goes wrong and my save doesn't work for you, you can move your original save and profile back into the 'remote' folder and continue from where you left off.

  5. Open the .zip file you just downloaded. Newer versions of Windows (i.e., the ones that can play Temple of Osiris) should automatically open .zip files when you double-click. You can also use an archive utility like WinZip or WinRAR.

  6. Select the file 'profile.dat' and 'save1.dat' and copy/paste or drag them from the .zip file into the 'remote' folder.

  7. Close all open windows and start the game as usual. My save should then load when you choose 'Continue' from the menu.

These instructions apply to the Steam installation of the game under Windows 7 or 8. If you're using a different version of Windows, you can still use these saves, but I'm not sure exactly where the save files are located. Try searching for the 'Steam' folder and looking inside. Or search for the 'profile.dat' or 'save1.dat' file directly. Then right-click it in the search results and choose 'open containing folder' or 'open file location' from the pop-up menu.
